Release notes June 2025

Two new datasets and Dashboard optimisation

Additional Emission Factor Datasets

This release introduces two new datasets to the Factor Library.

MITERD

The MITERD dataset, published by Spains Ministerio para la Transición Ecológica y el Reto Demográfico, offers emission factors covering fuels, transport, and electricity. It reflects the latest national methodologies for calculating greenhouse gas emissions and can be used for national and international reporting. This dataset was developed with the helpful aid of the community.

In Carbon+Alt+Delete it can be used as a preferred dataset for the following Activity Category types:

  • Fuels
  • Electricity
  • Transport (vehicles, freight, and travel)

Agribalyse - version 3.2

Agribalyse is a French Life Cycle Inventory (LCI) dataset published by ADEME, providing environmental impact data for over 2,500 agricultural and food products, with high data resolution on the Land and Land Use dimensions.

In Carbon+Alt+Delete it can be used as a preferred dataset for the following Activity Category types:

  • Goods, Services, and Assets (activity-based)

Dashboard optimization

Significant performance improvements have been applied to the dashboard view.

Users working with large inventories should see faster load times.  The pivot table in particular has been optimized for better responsiveness.

Minor updates & fixes

  • Correction to CNG values in the SECR reports
  • Fix for Benchmarking inputs not saving
  • EPA – Goods & Services template is now available from Requests

API Updates

We've formalized our API deprecation process to ensure a smooth transition for all API consumers. The new approach includes:

  • A 6-month grace period for all deprecated endpoints
  • A 3-month sunset period before complete removal
  • Automatic deprecation headers in API responses
  • Clear documentation in Swagger UI
  • Highlighting changes to Endpoints in the release notes

This structured approach provides ample time for updates while maintaining API stability.

What's deprecated?

  • POST /reports/v1/inventory-export - Deprecation: 2025-12-16 - Sunset: 2026-03-16
    • Replaced by POST /reports/v2/inventory-export
  • GET /results/v1/dashboard-data - Deprecation: 2025-12-16 - Sunset: 2026-03-16
  • GET /results/v2/dashboard-data - Deprecation: 2025-12-16 - Sunset: 2026-03-16
    • Replaced by POST /results/v1/dashboard-query
  • GET /results/v1/inventory-pivot - Deprecation: 2025-12-16 - Sunset: 2026-03-16
    • Replaced by GET /results/v2/inventory-pivot
