LSRG

We are pleased to introduce a much-requested enhancement: calculation of land-based emissions and removals. The Emission Factor Library contains now emission factors, including custom factors, with detailed information on land use emissions and removals. 

You will notice changes in the Inventory detail pane, where the info boxes now separate the values for Emissions – Fossil, Emissions – Land, and Removals – Land 

Additionally, there is a new Breakdown by Land Category info box which splits values across the three land categories: Land Use, Land Use Change, and Land Undefined.

Custom emission factors can now also be defined with LSRG details. When creating or editing a custom factor, you can include breakdowns by emission type (fossil vs land), removal category, and land classification. These fields are available when “Enable full details” is selected in the custom factor editor. 

Note that land-based emissions and removals are for now only visible in the inventory (table view, detailed pane and inventory export). We continue to work on showing those emissions in the Dashboard and Reports (coming over next months).

Visual improvements

You may notice some subtle changes to colours and icons throughout the app. These updates are part of an effort to improve accessibility and ensure visual consistency. We’ve removed certain background colours that were interfering with readability and adjusted the colour palette and some text styling to improve contrast. 

In addition, the app now uses a consistent set of icons across the interface. While many of these changes are minor – such as filled icons being replaced with their outline equivalents – you may spot a few different icons where no direct match was available.
