Importing data with custom fields
If custom fields have been set up in your Boundaries, you can easily populate these fields when importing data in bulk, regardless of import method.
All you need to do is expand your datasheet with additional columns reflecting these fields. Let's look at an example.

In the above image you can see that we have two different custom fields: Product and Cost Centre. When importing data, any column and value can be mapped to these fields and values.

In the sheet above (based on on of our templates), we have added two additional columns to the right: Product and Allocation code. Note that there is not an exact match between one of the columns and the custom fields.

This is of course not a problem though, since we can simply map "Allocation code" to "Cost Centre as seen above.

Once imported, the custom fields will of course show up in the details of the inventory lines and can still be manipulated if needed.
