Release notes February 2026

Reports in Multiple Languages, AI in Imports, Search All Datasets, Custom Energy Conversion, and Improved Distance Formulas

Reports in Multiple Languages

Helping consultancies leverage Carbon+Alt+Delete in their local markets is one of our key priorities for 2026. Our first major update directly tied to this is localized reports.

The Greenhouse Gas Protocol Report, ISO 14064-1 Report, and the Internal report can now additionally be downloaded in the following languages: Czech, Danish, Dutch, Finnish, French, German, Italian, Portugese, Spanish, and Swedish.

Please note that we only translate the PDF report, not the XLSX version. We also do not translate any custom text (names of activities, report disclosure fields, etc.).

AI-powered Suggestions in step 3 of Import

While Carbon+Alt+Delete offers extensive templates for importing data to the platform, it is our ambition to make using your own data format as easy as possible. In an effort to streamline emission factor matching, we now offer AI-powered suggestions in step 3 (verify values) of the import.

You can now use the green AI button (to the left of the unmatched values) to receive suggestions for the emission factor based on keyword, detail, and unit.

  • When AI suggestions are available, the button appears green.
  • After the AI suggestion has been applied, the button turns grey, indicating that the AI match has already been performed.
  • You can still manually edit or overwrite the suggested values, or clear the fields entirely at any time.

Once confirmed, the mapping is automatically stored in our database. This means that the next time you upload the same keyword–detail–unit combination, the system will automatically reuse the stored mapping — saving you time.

If a row shows no AI icon (neither green nor grey), this indicates that a stored mapping already exists for that entry.

Search All Datasets in Factor Library

For a long time we have support AI-powered search in the various different datasets in our Factor Library. One problem our users have faced though when searching for the most appropriate emission factor is either needing to already know which dataset to look in, or searching each one at a time.

We are now introducing the possibility to search across all datasets in the Factor Library at the same time. You can also access the search all datasets feature directly from the Inventory at the bottom of the Factor Source dropdown.

When searching all datasets, you will of course be able to filter and sort based on the factor sources to easily find the right emission factor for the activity in mind.

Improved Distance Formulas

When using distance formulas, country codes and transport modes are now available for transparency and more accurate results.

In the example below we can see the three-letter country codes for France and Great Britain to make it apparent to the user that the correct country has been picked up by the location service.

Below this we can also see a Transport Mode dropdown allowing users to further refine the distance calculation. The support options are: Direct (Great Circle Distance), By Rail, and By Road.

Add Energy Conversion Values to Custom Emission Factors

We have extended the custom emission factors by allowing users to enter energy conversion values. This is called Energy Content and is expressed as kWh/unit (unit being the factor unit of the custom emission factor).

This is especially valuable for users that need to report energy consumption when using custom emission factors in frameworks like SECR.

Minor updates & fixes

Updates

  • Improved performance across application, especially in the Inventory, Pivot view, and Factor Library.
  • Increased amount of custom fields supported up to 10.
  • New Inventory lines are now always added to the top of the current page (if page is refreshed, it will move to the top of the first page).
  • Emission factors with multiple lifecycle stages now only show the combustion value in the Factor Library.
  • We have improved the Inventory Export. Additional fields are being added, such as specific emission factor data. Also, a “read me” tab is added to quickly jump to the parameters that you want to explore.
  • We have added emission factor values as fields in the Inventory and Pivot. As such, those fields can be used to sort, search, and filter on.

Fixes

  • Fixed issue where keyword was not editable when using multi-edit
  • If adding months as rows or columns in Pivots, they now show up in calendar order
  • When deleting rows in step 4 of import, the correct row count now shows when finalized
