Methodology readout notes
Emission factors are provided at the country level (Ireland). Factors are available for electricity and fuels.
Data is available for the reporting period 2019–2026. Note that a 1-year time shift is applied: data published covering the year Y is applied in Carbon+Alt+Delete for reporting periods covering the year Y+1. As such, recalculation of historical emission results is minimized. Moreover, this approach is consistent with all other databases.
Data considerations and notes
- SEAI factors are provided as CO₂ only (not CO₂-equivalent).
- SEAI is provides electricity factors as 'Electricity consumption' and 'Gross electricity supply'. SEAI advises to use the Gross electricity supply for company reporting.
- WTT factors are not published by SEAI. Therefore the following assumption is applied
