Validate

Once formulated, the SBTi assesses the target. This assessment ensures the company's target aligns with the standards set by the SBTi. The responsibility is on the company to justify that their target is rooted in scientific principles and to provide relevant information accordingly. Companies that wish to submit targets to be evaluated should download the latest submission form:

• Near-term Target Submission Form and Guidance

• Net-Zero Target Submission Form

• SBTi Target Validation Application for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs)

The company shall fill out the form as clearly, completely and accurately as possible. Once the form is completed, companies should submit the form together with any supporting documents via the online Target Validation Booking System for near-term targets.
