We are happy to inform you about new updates in Carbon+Alt+Delete. This release brings you several highly requested improvements including Import flow updates, new import templates with validation, additional Dashboard filtering, and first steps in to ESRS and Benchmarking.
We are excited to announce the release of the European Sustainability Reporting Standards E1 (ESRS-E1) report in a user-friendly Word format (docx.). It is designed to be a learning tool, helping you understand the reporting process while we gather all the essential details for the upcoming XBRL release. The ESRS-E1 report describes each of the Disclosure Requirements ("what to disclose") and provides a link to the Application Requirements ("how to disclose"). For E1-6 on the GHG emissions, some disclosures will be populated based on your in-app information. The ESRS-E1 report can be found at the Report - Create page and will be saved in the Report history, as like the other reports. The information in the Disclosure will also be used in the ESRS-E1 download.
We're keeping a close eye on the developments from the European Financial Reporting Advisory Group (EFRAG) and are preparing for the public consultation version of the XBRL. Follow our updates on our dedicated support page.
You will also be pleased to hear that we have created new import templates that include validation dropdowns to encourage the use of expected values. The templates are available on our support pages[FH1] . Please note that the validation is only appropriate for one emission factor dataset (e.g. IEA) per file, so you will need to select the one that aligns with your preferred emission factor settings (see Boundaries > Emission factors).
All import field descriptions can now be found on the support pages instead of in the templates themselves.
In anticipation of an increase of possible imported fields, we have made some improvements to the Import flow Steps 1 and 2.
In Step 1, there is a new preview of the data to be imported, so that you can quickly confirm that the selected file and range are correct.
In Step 2 we have significantly updated the way you map fields to column headers. You will see a new table with the imported columns headers, some data samples, and dropdowns for selecting the appropriate field per column.
Last year we introduced Custom inventory fields. In this update, we've expanded on the functionality, allowing for filtering within the Dashboard. To use these fields, simply click the "More" button adjacent to the existing filter options and select the desired values for each field you wish to apply.
We've launched the initial prototype of our Benchmarking tool. It will enable you to compare the emissions of a company with other companies of similar size, sector, and location. To provide you with representative and accurate benchmarks, we need your input (and of your peers) and ask you to provide basic metadata for each of your company accounts. You can find the initial setup and metadata submission form by navigating to Dashboard > Benchmarking. We thank you for your collaboration!
We have made many improvements in this release; the key improvements are as follows:
Unexpected Log out issue: The issue where users are logged out randomly should be resolved. Please contact us if you notice the issue happening again.
Request page update: Fixed some issues with Create from Boundaries and deletion of completed requests. The Requests page has also had some overall improvements in performance and layout.
Performance time: The emission factor library load times and searching in the Inventory are both faster.
Period field change in Inventory: We have split the period field in the Inventory to be represented by a start and end date. Imports using the previous format will still work.
Deletion of Company Accounts: You can now delete Company Accounts through the system. This should be used with caution.
Theming Logo option: You now have the option to show only the uploaded logo in the top right of the system instead of the logo alongside the text of the consultancy name. This allows you to use a wider logo that already includes the name in company branding.
We are currently working on an automated warning system to detect potential errors in the GHG inventory, Exiobase as a connected factor set, and some performance optimization projects.
