We are happy to inform you about new updates in Carbon+Alt+Delete:
Uncertainty quantification
Pivot functionality in dashboard
Ecoinvent 3.10
(1) Uncertainty quantification
Being able to account for uncertainty is an essential piece of effective carbon accounting. We are proud and excited to release uncertainty quantification in our carbon accounting platform. With this functionality, we give you the ability to easily track and measure the certainty of your inventory data.
Our approach offers an intuitive numerical approach that aligns fully with the GHG Protocol’s uncertainty methodology. The intelligent defaults ensure that you can start your first uncertainty analysis with reasonable base data.
For each inventory entry, you can now indicate a certainty level on the volume data, and for each emission factor, you will be served an associated certainty level (provided by the source). This emission uncertainty is aggregated on category-level and made available to you in the Dashboard. You can find the overall 95% confidence interval for all emissions, as well do a deep-dive to explore the largest uncertainty pain points.
(2) Pivot functionality in dashboard
This release introduces a brand-new feature that can be used to gather more insights on your Inventory data.
In the new Pivot tab in the Dashboard view, you will find all your inventory data presented as a pivot table. Data can be grouped, aggregated, filtered to provide a detailed overview, and assist investigation.
You can filter conditionally, drag-and-drop and add aggregate data in all possible iterations. We hope you enjoy exploring this new functionality!
(3) Ecoinvent 3.10
Ecoinvent 3.10 is now available in the Emission Factor library. To improve your ability to find the emission factor relevant to you, we now have also included Sector, and the ISIC Class, as additional fields for all Ecoinvent publications. They are available in filters and search.
Please also note that this 3.10 update includes emissions from fossil origin as well as biogenic emissions and land-uses changes. Making it ideal for Land-Use related reporting applications.
(4) Minor updates
We have made many smaller improvements in this release; the key improvements are as follows:
Improved detail pane opening sensitivity to reduce accidental opening
SECR report is now updated for transport
Additional units for Custom Factors
Simulation date ranges are now visible from the tree structure
Fixed drag & drop issues with the tree
