In this release we’re introducing Custom fields to further align your Emissions Inventory to your data and workflow needs. These fields have many possible uses, such as marking entries for review, grouping by product, or simply adding additional information.
Custom fields are created and managed from the Company Account settings and are specific to one company account. They take the form of dropdown inputs, with options defined by the user.
Custom fields can be used for filtering and sorting within the Inventory. By default these fields will be hidden in the Inventory table – to see them either enable the field via the Properties control or open the entry in the Detail Pane.
The UK Gov dataset is now also available to be explored as a Connected Dataset. You will be able to find all emission factors through the Emission Factor Library, to be searched or to be used in non-standard activity categories.
Additionally, factors like hotel stay and homeworking are now available as integrated factors in the inventory dropdowns. They can be used in categories such as Business Travel and Commuting.
Finally, the energy-related values for transport expressed as distance (kWh per km travelled) are now available as well in the inventory.
The Exiobase (version 3.8.2) dataset has been added to the Factor Library. As such, you can use spend-based emission factors for your spendings around the world. We created a dedicated support page to help you for a correct use of the spend-based approach with also some further details on the Exiobase dataset.
We performed corrections on the original data from Exiobase for the user to:
Have the most recent Global Warming Potential values of the 6th Assessment Report.
Use spendings in EUR, GBP and USD for which they find the emission factor in the Factor library.
Use spendings of 2018 to 2022 for which the emission factors is adjusted when the entry is created based on the period date.
Optimisation – We have made major improvements to the loading and operation of the Emissions Inventory table, especially emission calculation speed
White-labelled requests – White-labelling is now applied to the landing page for data providers
Detail pane scroll – Notes field is now part of the scrollable section.
Line creation in locked period – Fixed an issue where you could create a line in a locked period by using a connected dataset.
Notes field Undo redo – Fixed inconsistent undo behaviour in the notes field.
ADEME unit types – Fixed an issue with some unit types not showing for some ADEME emission factors
Company Account Library – Emission Factor Library name is now updated when the Account name changes.
AZERTY period issue – Numpad period should now work for AZERTY layout users.
We are currently working on implementing a Science-Based Target module in Carbon+Alt+Delete - to be released by Christmas.
